Vaughan MPPs Deliver City’s First Youth Wellness Hub

VAUGHAN – Today, Laura Smith, MPP for Thornhill was joined by Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan and Michael Tibollo, MPP for Vaughan—Woodbridge to announce that the Ontario government is making it faster and easier for young people to connect to mental health and substance use services by launching a net-new Youth Wellness Hub to serve youth in the City of Vaughan and surrounding areas. Located at the intersection of Jane Street and Rutherford Road in Maple, this is one of 10 new hubs the government is adding to the network of 22 hubs that will offer integrated mental health services to all youth at no cost.

Ontario Welcomes $155 Million Boost to Province’s Growing Electric Vehicle Supply Chain

WOODBRIDGE – The Ontario government is welcoming an investment of over $155 million by Hanon Systems, a global automotive parts supplier, to build a new 284,200 square foot facility in Woodbridge. The new facility will manufacture e-compressors, an essential component for electric vehicles, creating 300 jobs and strengthening the province’s growing end-to-end EV supply chain.

OVIN to launch demonstration sites for automotive and mobility technologies

The Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN) is launching the new OVIN Demonstration Zone in partnership with the City of Vaughan and the City of Markham. This new $7.3 million project includes $2.5 million in support from the Ontario government through OVIN and $1.4 million in combined funding from the City of Vaughan and the City of Markham.
